Scotter United JFC – Wildcats Girls Football Sessions

Beginning on September 6th, girls-only football is returning to Scotter United Juniors with the launch of our new Wildcats training sessions.
Open to girls aged 5-11, the sessions will be all about having fun, making new friends and learning the basics of football in a friendly and welcoming environment.
No previous experience is necessary – just come along, get involved and enjoy playing the game!
Sessions will run every Sunday morning from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, . The first two sessions are completely free, and after that it will be £3 per session. It is pay as you play, so there are no monthly fees and no charge for any sessions that your child cannot attend. Cash and card payments will both be accepted.
As the group develops, we will also be looking to form one or more new Scotter United girls’ teams over the next 12 months.
Booking will open soon through the Book Football England website. In the meantime, you can register your interest by completing this form.

Scotter United Junior Football Club Annual Invitational Tournament – June 14th 2025

Last year there were issues with the playing field area near the Village Hall, as due to heavy rain on the day on top of already soaked ground, many vehicles got stuck leaving the site, which damaged the area.

This was repaired by the club and an army of volunteers, but for 2025 alternative parking areas are being sourced in addition to those used close to the playing fields.

The importance of the tournament cannot be understated  because as well as a chance to showcase the village and teams in a fun and friendly football environment to the wider grassroots community, it’s the biggest fundraising event of the year, allowing the club to keep on top of an ever-increasing cost base and part-fund community projects such as the new pavilion, the use of which now expands far beyond the football club. Additionally, the funds raised ensures investment in the maintenance and upkeep of the War Memorial Playing Fields can continue, for the benefit of all in the village.

It is also important that traffic can flow freely on the main road between Scotter and Scotton during the day.

The concern is that without the above area, there is not enough space to accommodate the number of anticipated vehicles, and the tournament will have to be cancelled, or taken out of the village.

Have you any suggestions for a possible solution? If so, please get in contact.
